Saint George International launched the SGI Study Abroad scheme

Saint George International, the English language school in London, recently launched the SGI Study Abroad scheme and it increased numbers of British people that are honing their language skills with language courses in the country of the language they are studying.

Max Loach, School Director of Saint George International, explains that the introduction of the SGI Study Abroad scheme began in earnest in April 2008, with the signing of the first partnership with the Alpha-B language school in Nice, France.  He met with his counterpart from Alpha-B at the annual meeting of  EAQUALS,  a pan-European association of high-quality language schools. Since then new  partnerships have steadily been added to the register -  there are now French language courses at schools in Montpelier, Paris and Vichy as well as Nice. Spanish courses are available in Malaga, Salamanca, Madrid and Barcelona. You can also learn German in Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich and Italian in Rome, Florence and Milan.

Max is enthusiastic about the future. “We are excited to see the build up of more and more partner schools in Europe. We anticipate adding to the current list with new partners in Russia, Portugal, Greece and Holland before the end of the year. I think the whole idea of language travel and study holidays will really take off in the UK over the next few years. It is already a significant segment of inbound tourism to the UK  with huge numbers of people coming to the UK to study English for work, social and academic purposes. "

All SGI Study Abroad partners offer an exclusive 'mother tongue' approach to language learning with qualified native-speakers and plenty of individual attention with small group sizes. Local flavour is often added through afternoon options focusing on special interest areas (such as cooking in France or visual arts in Italy.)
