| When you live in a town long enough you grow attached to the community and you are able to make friends with each of the people that live there with you. It comes as no surprise then that you would wish to do everything you can to ensure that you have the power to help them if something extreme should happen. Isn't it time you gave back to the neighborhood in a great way by helping them if they have lost their home or if someone in their family has become gravely sick. In this economic system it is very challenging for people to have the right type of insurance policy that will address anything that might impact them. Lately in the town I reside in we have had several profound thunderstorms blow through and cause parts of the city to flood. Over 200 homes were flooded and these households were forced to move from where they have lived for numerous years and many lost most if not all of their possessions. This was a crushing loss to those impacted. It did not take long for for everyone in the town to unite and raise money to be utilized to clean up and mend these homes. You can do the same thing in your city. If you know one single family or a couple of families that need help then you can have a fundraiser and raise the money for them. Make sure that the fundraisers are enjoyable and something that everybody will desire to take part in. One of the more standard things you are able to have is a 5k run. These promote great health and all you are asking them to do is donate their time and money to help someone in need. Make a point to provide refreshments and maybe even some t-shirts to sell as well. To come up with a good fundraiser theme just grab a group of individuals and brainstorm. Decide on something that everyone will be be pleased with and will have the ability to put together without any troubles. |
